2010 Asia Pacific Product Innovation Award  in PNA-based Arrays

Dr. Sung Kee Kim, CEO of Panagene Inc receiving the award from Keith O¡¯Brien, Vice President, Global Research at Frost & Sullivan Holding the exclusive license to the Peptide Nucleic Acid (PNA) material, the recipient has more than 15 patents registered worldwide concerning the manufacturing and application of PNA. PANArray is the company¡¯s pioneering product based on the PNA technology. Overcoming challenges, the resulting microarray based on PNA can now be used to genotype 32 HPV types, with a short turn-around time of 4.5 hours. The development of PANArray is indeed timely as HPV testing is a fast growing segment of molecular diagnostics.
