What is PANA C-Melting⑩ ?

PANA C-Melting⑩ is a novel technology that integrates PNAClamp⑩ and PANA S-Melting⑩. PNAClamp⑩ is a kind of PCR technology and uses PNA (Peptide Nucleic Acid) probes which bind to the wild type DNA complementarily for PCR amplification reaction. These PNA probes restrain the amplification of wild type DNA so small amount of mutant type DNA is selectively amplified. It makes possible to detect somatic mutation. PANA S-Melting⑩ is Multiplex Melting Curve Analysis using fluorescence labeled PNA probe. PANA C-Melting⑩ takes advantages from both technologies. It is not only able to detect small amount of mutation with high sensitivity, but also able to genotype multiple mutations simultaneously using the phenomena that has their own melting temperature(Tm) value for the sequence changes of the target gene.

Applications

It’s possible to detect ctDNA (circulating tumor DNA) only with minute amount of blood sample by using this technology while previous cancer diagnosis method is surgical and invasive way to take out tumor tissue. This product is a breakthrough in molecular diagnosis, since it’s convenient to use and genotype mutation genes in ctDNA in less than 3 hours. This method is expected to be applicable to diagnose early detection of various cancers. Moreover, it will help disease diagnosis and treatment as well as predicting the prognosis.
