PANArray¢â is a new format of microarray that has overcome serous background noise problems of DNA-based microarrays. This can be achieved due to unique physicochemical properties of PNA probes with higher specificity and sensitivity to its complementary DNA or RNA. Furthermore, biological and chemical stability of PNA probes provides a strong advantage to PANArray¢â with long-term storage over years even at room temperature. These characteristics will be very useful when there are needs for massive screening of many samples with various probes. Efficient inventory control is another advantage of PANArray¢â.
